Solam GmbH has grown from a future-oriented cooperation of companies initiated with vision due to the subsidisation of the starch potato, which will cease to apply from the year 2012. 
Next to the previous expertise of the different groups of companies, the new strategic orientation was incorporated in the company foundation. We are focusing on the development and marketing of starch products for the paper and corrugated board industry as well as on related industries.
With a forward-looking company policy, we focus our activities on the extension of the raw material portfolio such as e.g. wheat starch and corn starch. In this process it always is of central importance that the developed product innovations meet the highest quality criteria. We are anxious to be able to act independent of the commodity market in order to ensure fair competition - entirely to our customer's way of thinking.
